The second concern is that it is unclear what the requirements are to have a positive outcome towards the War Effort in a region. If it is not an oversight, and a mechanics decision to never incorporate scaling, then this post demonstrates the problem with that. From my understanding, the game has no mechanic for scaling, so the lack of scaling depending on number of players currently in the game or even in an area is an oversight in this case. If you are playing MP and you are left alone, it could be impossible or nearly impossible to complete. The first is the issue of some missions having stages where there is an endless spawning of enemies. We could report as a bug or as a feedback for some things, but nobody is telling us how things are intended to work in enough detail. Well, this touches on what I've been trying to get at. Originally posted by Drennon:Your original report could be a flaw in game mechanics, but is likely an oversight and could be reported as a bug to us. I got my moneys worth, so from here on out, i'm just going to point out reasons why the game will fall flat, which the devs will ignore. it's impossible for a zone that is green one phase, to STAY GREEN because of the effort of players, consecutively.īut, it seems like the devs are more interested in getting people in their discord, than making their game desirable. It's not about us "not understanding how it works", it's "how it works, isn't how they act like it should work". I've spent over half an hour in a zone after completing all objectives farming spawns, just to see "enemy pushback" Why even say anything if it doesnt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matter? I've seen you (atomic) in another thread say that you cleared every single objective in a single zone, just to see "enemy pushback" It's not something i'll ever use to connect with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company, and their following.īUT when the ingame explanation of the "war effort" stuff talks about how the zones works, it says that (paraphrasing) "the work you do in a zone, contributes to its control/influence" for voice chat, to communicate during matches, aswell as to talk to friends that i care about. maybe i'm just old, but discord is for playing games with my friends. I personally find it disgusting that the devs are pulling this "LOLZ JOIN DISCORD TO SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This is just one of many major flaws with the game design i will be pointing out over the next few weeks, as i watch this game slowly fade. how is it that these endless hoards exist in such a tiny space, and how is it that slaughtering them doesn't "weaken" the enemy forces?\ it requires time, and lots and lots of biomass. With enemies half the size of a horse, killing just 50 of them should be devistating, due to how something that big gets that way. aswell as completing minor objectives in the zone, just to have the zone say "enemy pushback" killing hundreds and hundreds of raptors. I've come accross this many times before, and chose to farm it. This is not the first time that I have been in this situation, just the first that because of the geography, I wasn't able to complete. but when you're dealing with a game that is supposed to be a sort of zone control simulation, it makes no sense. I understand that the endless horde is a game mechanic designed to force pressure on the objective. i think i killed about 5 flatbacks, and 1 infected flatback, and who knows how many rapts. i would push up, and up, killing around 60 raptors, and a flatback each time, only to eventually have to fall back if not to be killed. Because of my build, there were upwards to 30 ammo pickups on this road before i gave up. for about 45 minutes, I tried pushing up the road solo. Because for some reason now armored raptors are showing up 3 times as often, aswell as the blue lightning ninja rapts, I was pushed to the edge of the agro-chase range. However, if (like i just was) you're in a group that leaves you alone, and are forced to give up ground, you will be out of the objective area. in certain objectives, enemies will spawn until the objective is completed.
